Rémy Carriat, a long-established French tannery whose exquisite leather, "Taurillon Lagun," is adopted by renowned European maisons. Taurillon Lagun is a full-grain semi-aniline leather that boasts a relatively uniform and elegant finish among shrink leathers.Using high-quality raw hides (bull calves 12 months old, young bulls) sourced from carefully selected regions in Europe, it achieves a soft, silky touch while maintaining a firm thickness and roundness. It is characterized by a finish that offers a moderate luster and depth.This elegant material has been meticulously crafted into shape, one by one, by artisans with some of the best skills in Japan.
Our goal was a key case that speaks of overwhelming elegance just by its presence.
The "edge painting," which determines the beauty of the edges, took more than three days, with the process of painting and sanding repeated many times. The uniform and highly durable edges thus created not only extend the life of the product but also create a dignified appearance. Furthermore, the delicate stitch line, "only 2mm from the edge," which only skilled artisans can achieve, imbues the product with an overwhelming sense of dimension and elegance.
For the interior, we lavishly used a combination of Taurillon Lagun and Italian smooth leather.
Taurillon Lagun, with its excellent durability, is used in areas that are frequently touched and subject to friction. For the other parts, Italian smooth leather, which boasts a texture that adheres to the fingertips, is used.
While blending into daily life, it quietly but surely exudes a presence.
It is a unique product that accompanies the aesthetic sense of its owner and carves out time together.
